Easy & Chic Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Hello loves! With Halloween just one week away and many of the festivities starting this weekend, I wanted to share some chic and easy to put together last minute costumes. Some of these I have used in year’s past, other’s are just ideas I have that I might use in the future. If you’re still struggling with what to be for Halloween, I got you!

Holly Golightly - Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Since this is my favorite movie, it makes sense that I’ve dressed as up two different versions of Audrey Hepburn’s iconic character in the past. The first costume is her iconic little black dress/pearl necklace look from the opening scenes of the movie (note: this is the exact moment that the little black dress gained popularity on the fashion stage - the one in the movie was by Givenchy). For this costume I purchased a black maxi dress that resembled the one in the movie, but honestly any black dress would work. I then picked up an accessories kit that contained all of the other key pieces.

The second Holly Golightly costume is her pajama look. For this look, I borrowed a dress shirt from my Dad’s closet (you could easily find this at the thrift store too!). I actually DIYed the iconic blue sleeping mask because at the time when I wore this costume, there weren’t any on the market I liked. Making the mask your self if still a great last minute option (I used blue felt from the craft store with some gold ribbon and embellishments), but now there are plenty of realistic ones available online.

Vampire

A Halloween classic! All you need for this costume is an all black outfit, fake blood, and some fangs. The fangs that I used were easy to apply, but not ideal for eating and drinking (but fun for photos!).

Sandy - Grease

Another iconic movie character that makes a great halloween costume! Pair a black top (preferably off the shoulder) with black leather leggings (a perfect excuse to purchase the Spanx ones!!), red heels, and hoop earrings. Throw on a red lip, curl your hair, and you’re ready to go. This is also an easy costume for couples - just tell your guy to wear black jeans and a black tee and gel his hair. (p.s. I thought I had a top for this costume but surprise I don’t so enjoy the bottom half of this look).

Anna Wintour

The queen of Vogue herself! For this costume, simply tuck your hair into a bob (or purchase a wig if you’re really feeling it) and wear your biggest sunglasses possible. Carry around a copy of Vogue all night and criticize people’s looks for the full effect.

Which of these costumes is your favorite? I would love to see your looks if you decide to use any of these costume ideas!
